December 4 week at a peek

Dear students and families,

Students can be proud of their hard work this week!  On Thursday, we had our second meeting with our care partners and our first grade 6 band concert.  Relive some of Thursday with us in this video:

Biography Projects

  • Biography projects are coming along nicely.  Delays are in place because we need to teach referencing and research skills for those finding information from books and on-line.
  • There are still a few biography interview projects to complete.  Keep up the good careful work everyone!

Art Projects

There are about 6 students who have not yet completed illusion art and pop art faces.  I would like to see these projects complete by the end of the week.

Grade 5 Handwriting

  • Students have almost completed the kite strings.  When all work and corrections are done, the first booklet will go home forever with a date stamp and sticker.
  • I hope to begin our second booklet this week with the “loop group” letters and the “hills and valleys.”

  • We work on our seventh spelling lesson on Tuesday and Wednesday with the spelling tests and assignments due on Thursday.
  • Unit 1 booklets get a date stamp, a sticker and go home forever, when all corrections are complete.
  • Students will receive a new booklet for the next 6 lessons this week.

Here are this week’s spelling lists:
