Dear students and families,
portrait charcoal sketches

Once again, this year has gone by so incredibly quickly for me!  I would like to thank students and families for being so kind, welcoming and supportive of the activities we did this year.  I would also like to thank and commend you for your patience and flexibility through this most unique school year.  As I look back, we had a year full of projects that students fully embraced.  Here are just a few:

  • daily math fact home practice
  • care partner activities
  • grassland study
  • grade 4 fall harvest trip
  • grade 3 swale trip
  • playing recorders
  • number talks
  • “flat” substitute student surprise project
  • wheelchair basketball
  • class potluck celebration
  • handwriting
  • keyboarding
  • senior cards
  • sliding on the hill
  • mini-Olympics day
  • distance learning at home
  • Zooming!
fun on the hill!

It was an honour and privilege to work with each and every one of the students in this amazing group this year.  You are an incredible group of young people with the biggest hearts.  I have marvelled in the ways you positively encourage each other and the enthusiasm, spunk and spirit you show.   I can’t wait to see where your life’s journey will take you!  For those of you leaving us, I wish you all the best in your new school and community.

Thank you, again, class – for making this a great year!  Remember to play, have fun and enjoy a wonderful summer.  I wish you all the best in grade four and grade five!

Before we go – I’ll leave you with a song sung by another amazing group of kids that make me think of you…

Each and every one of you has a special place in my heart forever.

And with that – the blog is officially on summer vacation!
Ms B. 😎
